The Best Cafes To Visit In Rotterdam
On our visits, we like to find some of the best cafes where we can sit down, chill out, have a drink, do some work, and read a book. That’s why we thought we’d make a list of the best cafes in Rotterdam and let you know what we thought about them.
We would like to point out that if you’re looking to do something naughty in the cafes in Rotterdam you’ll be disappointed because as far as we know there are no places like this and if that’s what you’re looking for you can easily catch the train from Rotterdam to Amsterdam.
Best Cafes In Rotterdam
The thing we like most about these cafes are the fact that they’re cosy, quiet and inviting. There’s no big corporate spin on everything and they have charm. You might be thinking well isn’t that any old cafe? Not in Rotterdam, due to the bombing during World War Two Rotterdam has been modernised and rebuilt so cosy cafes like these are hard to find.
Sherlocks Place Rotterdam Cafe
We LOVED Sherlocks Place in Rotterdam. It’s a quiet, charming and cosy place to stop and grab a bite to eat and an amazing drink. Their hot chocolates are top tier without a doubt and Louis ended up having 6 during the week in Rotterdam. They have all kinds of syrups you can have or just plain chocolate, they have alternative milks as well.
If you are looking to unwind, grab a bite to eat or get some work done; Sherlocks Place is the best place to go.

Mams Coffee
Depending on where you are staying Mams Coffee might be a little far out of your way, it took us 15 minutes to walk there and we can happily say it was worth it. Their millionaires shortbread was delicious and their hot chocolate was decent compared to other places we tried that are not on this list.
Not to mention it’s always busy outside in the nice weather, their prices are affordable and the staff are lovely. If you visit make sure you follow them on Instagram and watch the counter as it clicks in with their new follower count, it was amazing to watch.
