If you’re new to the island or returning, I’m sure there’s an Argassi restaurant here that you might not have tried and need to!
We have visited these restaurants several times over the years and never had a problem with them. I can safely say these are the best restaurants in Argassi by a long shot and they all have defining qualities that make them unique and places you will want to visit.
Argassi is a great town, it’s situated 10 minutes from the main Zante town and 20 minutes from the airport both times are based on previous taxi journeys that we’ve had. Argassi Zakynthos have some wonderful shops and fantastic Greek restaurants where you can get some great food, so let’s kick off some of our favourite Argassi restaurants, shall we?
These Greek Argassi restaurants are ranked in order of which we feel are the best to the not so favourable restaurants. These are our opinions; places do change, and I’d recommend doing some homework before visiting any places to eat in Argassi.

Argassi Restaurant 24/7 Chill Out Place
When it comes to Argassi restaurants you really wouldn’t think this would make the list, but it does! it’s one of the unique restaurants where you can pretty much get everything you want from their menu. You can also get it any time of the day because as their name suggests, they’re open at all hours!
On our trip in July 2022, we visited 6 times! They were that good. We went for dinner, lunch and breakfast. We even had a huge waffle that we could just about manage. Their prices are super low compared to other restaurants in Argassi and the customer service is superb. We really can’t fault them.
They have plenty of room and there’s no need to book a table. If you want something done a certain way all you have to do is ask and they’re more than happy to accommodate.
If we had to rate this Argassi restaurant, we’d give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars. It’s that good! A total authentic Greek restaurant in Argassi. Read more in our 24/7 Chill Out Place restaurant review.
Argassi Restaurant Zorbas Taverna
After our family visit in 2022, I am pleased to say we have a new favourite Argassi restaurant. The Zorbas Taverna is on your main strip of Argassi and it’s seriously one of the best Argassi restaurants you can imagine. We used to visit Zorbas in the past but only for lunch, I am pleased to say they have come a long way.
The food is affordable, great to fit any budget and they even do meal deals. We had a starter, main and dessert for only 16 euros! The food is also amazing, tastes great and you’ll leave feeling full! My mum said it’s the best mousaka she’s ever eaten and that’s saying something.
If you’re looking for a budget-friendly Argassi restaurant that will leave you happy, Argassi Zorbas Taverna is the place you need to go! The customer service is also outstanding and we felt comfortable and at ease the moment we entered the restaurant.
If we had to rate this Argassi restaurant, we’d give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars. It’s that good! A total authentic Greek restaurant in Argassi. Read more in our Zorbas Tavern restaurant review.
Argassi Restaurant Peppermint
Peppermint is what I like to call a hidden gem. We had no idea it existed until the owner of the Diana Palace told us about it and booked us a reservation. Peppermint isn’t in the heart of Argassi like other restaurants. It’s a little out of the way but well worth the visit.
The food at Peppermint was outstanding. Matt had a lobster which he had to tell them ahead of time and he had only positives, I had a steak which was cooked just the way I asked and we had nothing negative to say about the food. The price is on the higher end, but it’s a lovely place to go as a couple for a romantic night out.
The atmosphere is chill. You can relax and not have to rush, which is always a bonus. I would point out that it was sometimes difficult to get a member of staff’s attention. Overall I’d say the whole package is what sold the hotel to us. Good food, great atmosphere and a hidden gem you can’t help but visit. One thing I will say is that if you don’t like posh food that is presented well, this isn’t the place for you.
We’d happily give this restaurant a 4 out of 5 stars. Make sure you book ahead of time as it can get busy. Read more in our Peppermint restaurant review.
Argassi Restaurant Target Taverna
We’ve been to Argassi four times now and on our last three trips we always said that we needed to give Target Taverna a try, we’re so glad we did. We went as a family, four of us and it was worth every minute. The customer service was great and they even pick you up and drop you off at your hotel if you’re in Argassi and there is no charge for the transport!
This Argassi restaurant has the best views out of any restaurant we’ve tried. You can see most of Zakynthos from the restaurant and the sunset is beautiful. You’ll be able to take some amazing pictures and make memories you never thought possible.
The only thing that let it down was the food. There are much better Argassi restaurants such as Zorbas Tavern where you can get better food. The food wasn’t bad but it was basic and I expected a little more for the prices they were charging.
It’s a must if you’re looking for amazing views that you’ll not get anywhere else. Don’t get your hopes up over the food and expect great customer service.
We’d happily give this restaurant a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Make sure you book ahead of time as it can get busy, especially with the amazing views! Read more in our Target Taverna restaurant review. I mean come on look that the amazing views at Target Traerna Argassi have to offer!
Argassi Restaurant Dionysos
The Dionysos restaurant Argassi has to offer is outstanding. We visit several times every time we visit, and we honestly can’t get enough. We always stay at the Diana Palace in Argassi, which is perfect because Dionysos is a stone’s throw away from the hotel. The Argassi restaurant is in the heart of Argassi, and you cannot miss it seriously.
The restaurant is family-run, and the service is good. The family-run aspect lends charm to the place and makes it feel more welcoming and homely. We’ve never had an issue with the restaurant, the staff or the food, and we always make sure to leave a tip, which is always well deserved.
The food is quaint, just like the atmosphere. We usually end up having two starters, two mains and two desserts with an assortment of drinks along the way. You can’t help but want to stay, and although that can damage the wallet slightly, it’s a holiday after all! This Argassi restaurant is a charming little restaurant you’ll want to try.
If we had to rate this Argassi restaurant, we’d give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. It’s that good! A total authentic Greek restaurant in Argassi. Read more in our Dionysos restaurant review.
Argassi Restaurant Papillon
We happened upon Papillon in Argassi by accident, and I’m glad we did. We had never heard of the place before, but it looked rather enticing from the outside, so we thought we’d give it a go. The atmosphere was pleasant, and we could find a table and work out the menu without any issues.
However, we found the service to be a little lacking compared to other Argassi restaurants, and if you want a friendly, relaxed dinner, you might want to give Papillon a miss. The food was nice and priced reasonably for the island; if needed, we would go back and visit. I wouldn’t make it a must-see on your trip, though.
The food was very nice. Matt has muscles I’m not the biggest fan of, but I enjoyed some “typical British food” such as pizza and onion rings, and I had no complaints.
All in all, we’d give this small Argassi restaurant a 3 out of 5 stars. I’m not sure if we’d visit again, to be honest. You can check out our full Papillon review for more information.
