Our honeymoon was one of the best moments of our wedding. We broke away from everyday life and had an amazing time. We spent our honeymoon exploring Amsterdam and having an amazing time. Amsterdam is one of our favourite places to visit as it’s LGBTQ+ friendly and we’ve never had any issues with homophobia.
However, when picking the best LGBTQ+ honeymoon destinations you have to be careful with the country’s laws and stance on LGBTQ+ communities. It’s a shame that in the 21st century we as community members are still having to do this but it’s better safe than sorry.

There are many amazing LGBTQ honeymoon destinations that you can pick from where you can have a great time in countries that support the LGBTQ+ community. We would highly advise spending your time and money in these countries and not even trying to visit other countries where you could be putting your life in danger.
Europe LGBTQ Honeymoon Destinations
There are so many places in Europe where you can enjoy a gay honeymoon. Countries in Europe are more inclusive for the LGBTQ+ communities so they make great LGBTQ+ honeymoon destinations. Some European countries are still behind on the times but take a look at the list below for some amazing queer honeymoon destination ideas;

The USA is one of the biggest tourist destinations, however, certain places in the USA such as Florida are no longer safe for LGBTQ+ community members to visit which is a big shame with Florida having attractions such as Disney World and Universal Studios.
When planning your honeymoon, it’s a good idea to check the latest information and legislation about LGBTQ+ rights and acceptance in your chosen destination. While these cities are known for their LGBTQ-friendliness, attitudes can vary, especially in places that are controlled by republicans such as Florida. It’s essential to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience during your special trip.

If you are thinking about going to Florida or Key West which can be really nice honeymoon destinations it would be our advice to stay somewhere like Disney World where we have never experienced any homophobia at all and to always be safe when you leave your accommodation.

Travelling and being safe go hand in hand with the LGBTQ+ community which is a big shame but it’s important for everyone to ensure they’re safe when they travel and that they’re not in any danger. The one bit of advice we would give is to check on the country before booking anything. Laws and legislation can change at any time and so can the attitude of the people living in the countries. We hate to keep pointing it out but just look at how Florida is going, more and more people have decided not to travel to Florida and not just people in the LGBTQ+ community, so do your homework first!
